Waddup, I’m Annie.

I’m a journalism senior (cue hyperventilation) at Michigan State University with a heart full of love for writing, editing, AP Style, reading, the Great Lakes, baby animals and anything else along those lines.
Which all adds up to one big nerd.
I started this blog in early 2010 simply because a journalism professor told me to. It took my blog awhile to find its voice (and went through a name change in the process), but I think I’ve got that under control now. The tagline says this blog is about college, grammar and life, and that’s exactly it: I write about my life at Michigan State and as a sorority girl, but I also post about grammar and AP Style. An odd mix, I know, but it works. During the summer, I like to devour books and then write what I think about them. I also post a lot of pictures of baby animals.
For the time being, though, I’m first and foremost a college student. So I like to get a little silly and remind myself that life doesn’t always have to be too serious.
And you know, I won’t be in college forever. So if you happen to be someone who works in the social media/digital marketing/editing world and miiiight want to know more about the professional Annie, why not mosey on over to my page for employers?

Dear ummm, You, (I can’t seem to find your name anywhere, but your Twitter account is Annie, so, maybe you’re Annie) – I caught you with my Twitter “Perrysburg” search filter, saw that you’re at Michigan State, and you love sailing. I went to State for grad school, thus I thought I should let you know that the MSU Sailing Club on Lake Lansing is a Great bunch of people (at least they were 5 years ago), and they take really good care of their gear. They have about 6 each Sunfish and Lasers, and a fun little one man called a Hobie Holder, that I loved because I’m bigger and it had a bigger cockpit. They also have a mess of bigger boats, all for you to use any day you want to. Lake Lansing is pretty small though, and pretty shallow, so pretty much the beach boats are going to be funnest. Hope you get use out of this Heads-up. Take Care –MDeV
That’s so funny that you found me! I’ve sailed a Sunfish before, but it was in a pretty light breeze and my uncle was there to prevent me from capsizing us. Thanks a lot for the heads up about the sailing club — my grandpa taught my dad and uncles how to sail and I feel like the family slacker for not knowing how!

There’s the info. The classes are really fun, if you need PE credits, they count toward that. –MDeV
