Hey, weather. Make up your mind.

First things first: I’d say my first trip to Central was a success (I also think I just said the word “first” too many times), even if I tend to say ridiculous things when I’m half-asleep. Example: “I can’t believe you let me drive your car to Cancun.” Completely out of the blue and unprovoked. What?! Yeah, wish I could explain it.

But I digress. (As usual.)

When I woke up in Mt. Pleasant yesterday, there was snow on the ground. Yes, snow. In April.

(Of course I took this picture from inside the dorm. Was I going outside? NO. Except when J dragged me to the caf, but whatever.)

There wasn’t any snow when I got back to East Lansing, but it was pretty chilly and isn’t too stellar today. I’ve come to the conclusion that Mother Nature needs to make up her mind and just let it be spring already.

Case in point: when I left  for class this morning, I was wearing a sweatshirt and fleece. By the time I got to my class, I was roasting and was just in my t-shirt. When I left that class and went to lunch, my fleece and sweatshirt weren’t enough and I was absolutely freezing.

For reals, Michigan? I think I speak for the entire state (okay, the entire midwest) when I say it’s time to really, truly be spring. (And for those of you worried about those poor souls in Mt. Pleasant, I heard the snow’s gone already. Thank goodness.)

On another note: in exactly four weeks, I will be done with classes, finals, projects, everything. I’m trying not to hyperventilate. But mostly I’m thinking about how ready I am to be done with this semester and home for the summer.

Who’s with me?

Happy Monday!
